NAME:Sadie (bottom two) BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 11 yrs young WEIGHT: COLOR: Black, docked tail & natural ears BIO: Hi everyone, our names are Abbey and Sadie. We are both housetrained. We were surrendered to rescue because my Dad had the opportunity of a lifetime and had to relocate and was unable to take me and my older sister Sadie with them. They were devastated when they brought us out to the rescue farm, but at least they loved us both enough to want the very best for us. I am sure that there is someone out there that could love us as much as our former family did (and always will). It would be wonderful if someone could open their heart and home to the both of us. We had to say goodbye to our family and would be devastated if someone didn’t want to adopt the both of us together just because of Sadie’s age. You must have a completely fenced & secure yard. UTD on all vaccinations - heartworm negative. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Fantastic news!!! A very warm and loving family from Carmel, IN came out to the farm on 5/9/06 to look at Abbey. Abbey was on the porch and Sadie was in the house carrying on something terrible because they were separated and she just knew something was going on. This very loving and compassionate couple could not bring themselves to separate the girls and decided to take them both home with them. We cannot thank them enough for their compassion and understanding. We could not have asked for a more loving forever home than the home that they will be giving to both Abbey & Sadie. Not many people would have been willing to take on a senior citizen - but this couple did - and we have the highest admiration and gratitude for their compassion and commitment. This is one(two) adoption(s) that we will never forget. |

NAME: Addison BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 6/24/05 WEIGHT: 75# COLOR: Black brindle, natural ears, docked tail BIO: Well hello there, my name is Addison. I have had a rough beginning but hope you can change that. I was originally an owner surrender to an Ohio shelter. Previously kept in a backyard and not given much socialization. These pictures were taken a couple of months ago, but rest assured I am even more handsome now than I was when they were taken. I was in a foster home for a couple of months but am still a little afraid of strangers and because of there being strange young grandchildren in the picture I was surrendered to rescue. I am housetrained and would require obedience training so that I could adjust properly to my new surroundings. I do get along with other dogs and would prefer not to be an only child. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am heartworm negative, UTD on all vaccinations, not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Addison was adopted 11/19/06 by a very loving and Bouvier saavy person in Westlake, OH. Addison not only has a new "Forever Dad" but also has a new Bouvier sister named Sassy. |

NAME: Arrow (renamed Earl) BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Approx 2 yro. WEIGHT: 65# COLOR: Gray brindle, docked & cropped SURRENDERED: By family due to loss of job and home BIO: Hi there, my name is Arrow. I was given up because my Dad lost hisjob and they didn't feel they could afford to keep me. If I were a person I would be either a clown or a comedian because I am so much fun to be around and just love to play. I am housetrained, and I get along great with older children. Since I have been in rescue I have decided that I would like to go to a home with no other animals. I would really love to have a family all to my own and not have to share them with other animals. I am very neat and clean and could be your best friend if given the chance. I am looking for love and attention and someone I can share my soul with. If you are interested in me you must have a completely fenced and secure yard. I am UTD on all shots and heartworm negative. Not cat or dog friendly. **UPDATE:Earl (Arrow) was adopted 5/6/06 by an absolutely wonderful and loving family in Toledo, OH. |

NAME: Ashley BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born March 2002 WEIGHT: approx 55# COLOR: Pepper & Salt brindle, docked tail, natural ears BIO: Hello there, my name is Ashley. These are my new before haircut and after haircut pictures. I was surrendered to rescue by a family that saw me, my sister and my brother for sale as a "package deal" from a less than reputable breeder. Even though they could not keep us they were kind enough to purchase us and get us off the market so we wouldn't be bred anymore. We were used strictly for breeding, had no socialization with humans and were never afforded love or attention by anyone. I really need a loving family that will take the time to teach me the many things that I should have been taught already. When I arrived at rescue I was terrified of everyone and everything. I had never seen or heard the sights and sounds of a normal life. Thank goodness there are people that cared enough to want for me what most dogs take for granted. I just need love (lots of it - if you don't mind), understanding and a lot of direction. I get along great with other dogs, but have never been around children - so it would probably be best if I were placed in a home with adults. I am heartworm negative, UTD on all vaccinations and not cat friendly You must have a completely fenced and secure yard to adopt me. **UPDATE: Ashley was adopted 8/27/06 by a very loving and understanding family in Silverwood, MI. Ashley now has an older brother named Hoover for a companion. |

I am a very high-energy dog, so if you are looking for a couch potato, I am not the one you are looking for. I love to play and would make a wonderful companion for an energetic family that has the time and energy to share with me. I love going for car rides and walks. I can be a little hard headed at times, but with the proper training and a lot of love, I can be swayed very easily. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Bill was adopted 7/14/06 by a very loving and caring woman in Ann Arbor, MI. NAME: Buddy BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 4-5 yro WEIGHT: 90# COLOR: Dark Gray brindle, natural ears & tail RESCUED: PERSONALITY: Hi there, my name is Buddy and I came from Canada. I originally came into another rescue in spring of 2005. I did well in my foster home but became too active and ended up coming back. My original owners decided to get rid of me because they were getting new furniture. My previous foster Mom described me as friendly, playful, housebroken and clean. I will do best in a dog experienced home with someone that had good leadership skills. I do prefer not to be left alone for very long. I am crate trained and should be confined to one when left alone until I have properly adapted to my new house. I get along with other dogs. The top pictures were taken with my "Bouvier Cut" the bottom pictures were of my "shave down cut", I don't even look like the same dog! Must have a completely fenced & secure yard. UTD on vaccinations. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE: Well, Buddy is definitely having a Happy New Years. His forever Mom drove in from Brentwood, NY on New Years Day and picked him up. It was love at first sight. Buddy not only has a new forever Mom & Dad and family but will be joining two other SCBR rescues that they adopted: Shadow & Sydney. |

NAME: Buford BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 3 years old WEIGHT: approx 70# COLOR: Dark gray brindle, docked tail, natural ears BIO: Hello there, my name is Buford. I was rescued from the Floyd County Animal Shelter in Prestonburg, KY. A family found me wandering on their property and was nice enough to take me in. Regretfully, his neighbors cat and I did not see eye to eye and the neighbor took a hammer and threw it at me and hit me in the head - so I left the area immediately. A couple of weeks later I showed up again and the neighbor threatened to shoot me on site if he ever saw me again. Fearing for my life - the kind people that originally befriended me took me to the shelter hopeing to save my life. Everyone at the shelter was in awe as to what a good boy I am. I am housetrained, good with other dogs, absolutely adore people, love car rides and walk very well on a leash. My favorite past-time is to put my head in your lap, look up at you with my big brown eyes, and completely melt your heart and soul. The pictures on the left are "before" my haircut and "after" my haircut. I had the run of the shelter, never bothered anyone and no one bothered me. If you are looking for an absolute gem of a dog, you can stop looking when you come to me. I am well mannered and aim to please. I am, however, very prey driven when it comes to cats, squirrels and small varmints. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Buford was adopted 7/9/06 by an absolutely wonderful family that drove down from Chicago, IL. This is Buford's lucky day. He not only has a female Bouvier sister named Dumplin, but also has a new forever Mom and Dad and two teenage sisters to love him. |

NAME: BoBo BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 6 years young WEIGHT: about 75# COLOR: Gray brindle, natural ears and tail RESCUED: From Genesee County Humane Society, Burton MI. (surrendered) BIO: Hi there, my name is BoBo. I was surrendered to the Humane Society because my owners passed away and no one in the family wanted to keep me. Wouldn't you know it, I was not only not up to date on my vaccinations, but no one bothered to get me heartworm tested or put on heartworm preventative. Yup, when the rescue took me in to the vets I tested heartworm positive. I wish people would care a little more about the ones that give them unconditional love and that they would realize just how preventable heartworm is. If they had to go through the painful treatments, they would definitely think twice about getting us checked. Thank goodness rescues care enough to treat us - even if it has to be after the fact. I am housetrained and walk fairly well on a leash. I get along well with other dogs and people. Please forgive the pictures, I was having a bad hair day and I just got back from the vets for my final heartworm treatment. I sure hope someone will find a permanent place in their heart and home for me. The two treatments were very painful to go through but will be well worth it knowing that there are some warm and loving arms waiting for me in the very near future. I am UTD on all vaccinations. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:BoBo has been made a permanent resident of Second Chance Bouvier Rescue. Due to the lack of interest shown in him (most likely because he was treated for heartworm) he has made an indelible place in our hearts and would probably not do well if relocated. BoBo will spend the rest of his life on the rescue farm with the other rescues that were not adopted, whether it be due to age, terminal illness or just unplaceable. |

They were dropped off at a high-kill shelter because their owners had passed away and the family members didn't want them. No one could bear the thought of them being put down just because they lost their owner. Regretfully, no one even bothered to tell us their names so we had to name them. They are both very sweet girls and they do need to be adopted together. They are both housetrained, get along great with other dogs and people. They are both UTD on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Must have a completely fenced and secure yard. NAME: Cody BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 6/10/02 WEIGHT: 82# COLOR: Black, docked tail, cropped ears SURRENDERED: By family in Rockwood, MI BIO: Hi there, my name is Cody. These pictures were taken right after my bath but I look so much prettier when I am dry and groomed. I was surrendered because I did not get along with the other intact dog that my family had. Now that I have been neutered, I don't seem to mind other dogs, but depending on the situation I might need to go to a home as an only child. I am housetrained, walk fairly well on leash, love to go for walks and car rides. I do get along with children and warm up to adults quite readily. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. UTD on Vaccinations. Not cat friendly. Heartworm negative. **UPDATE:Adopted 4/29/06 By a Very Loving Family in W. Bloomfield, MI. |

NAME: Dana BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Approx 18 months WEIGHT: Approx 50# COLOR: Black (pepper & salt), natural ears, docked tail BIO: Well hello there, my name is Dana. I was originally picked up as a stray by Greene County Humane Society in Linton, IN. I was adopted out but returned because I was overly protective of anyone coming into my new house that I didn't know. Are you looking for someone to love and who will unconditionally love you in return? Well, look no further. I get along great with other dogs. I even went to "doggie day care" a couple days a week and there were no problems at all. I adored my family but was so afraid of anything happening to them that I did not welcome strangers. I love to go for car rides but need work with regard to walking when strangers approach. I need a family that understands and is willing to work with me and help me realize that although I am doing my "job" by protecting them, I don't need to "over do" that job. Because I get along so well with other dogs, I would probably look forward to going to a home with another dog. That way we can "share" the job of protecting the family and I will have a companion to play with when I am home alone. I am housetrained, heartworm negative, UTD on all vaccinations and not cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard to adopt me. **UPDATE: Dana was adopted 12/9/06 by a wonderful family in Bloomfield HIlls, MI that just recently had to say goodbye to their beloved Gabby. NAME: Dolly BREED: Bouvier/mix? GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Approx 2 yro WEIGHT: 60# COLOR: Gray & Silver, natural ears & natural tail BIO: Well hello there, my name is Dolly. Are you lonely, depressed, need a loving companion that will brighten your day? Well, I am just what the doctor ordered!!! I was surrendered to a shelter in Ohio by my family because of a divorce. They not only divorced each other - they evidentally divorced me too because neither one wanted to take me with them. I sat at the shelter for almost three weeks just praying that the next person that walked through the door was coming to get me - but to no avail. The shelter had me down as a Briard mix because whenever I am alerted to something my left ear will stand up. I am very sweet, active and just love to play. Everyone that sees me says that I am just drop-dead gorgeous (which I tend to agree with :-) Because I am still young, I do need some work with walking on a leash, obedience class would be a definite plus. I am not shy with anyone, not even strangers. I am housetrained and will follow you where ever you decide to go. I love children and I am a fantastic passenger in a car. If you sit down I will put my paws on your lap and if you let me, I will put my paws on your shoulders and cuddle with you. Everyone at the shelter loved me and hated to see me go, but they knew I would find a loving home through Second Chance. So if you're down, and you feel like no one loves you - please consider me. I would like nothing better than to be your loving and faithful companion. I get along great with children. I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, not cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. **UPDATE: Dolly was adopted 8/27/06 by a very loving couple in Rochester Hills, MI. |

I was surrendered to the Cheboygan Humane Society by my family because they didn’t have a fenced yard and I love chasing things. They were afraid I might chase the wrong thing at the wrong time and end up being hit by a car. I am very friendly, intelligent, loving and outgoing. I would like nothing more than to bless your family with my love and companionship. I do enjoy car rides, after all I made a 5+ hour ride from Cheboygan to the rescue farm with no problems at all. I get along fantastic with other dogs and love people. I would be best suited in a family without toddlers due to my size and age. I am housetrained. You must have a completely fenced & secure yard. UTD on all vaccinations - heartworm negative. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Fletcher was adopted 6/30/06 by a wonderful family from Menasha, WI. Full grown I will probably be maybe 18-20#. I am a real cutie pie, I grumble while I wag my tail but am full of kisses as soon as you pick me up. I was originally owned by a family that didn't take very good care of me and I was headed to the pound with my former owners when a well meaning friend took me in a couple of weeks ago. All I want to do is play, play, play, but her 14yro cat isn't up to all that action so he will not come out from under the bed while I am around. I have the typical sassy, energetic but loving personality of a Schnauzer/Terrier and desperately need to find a loving home of my own. Will be UTD on vaccinations when adopted. Must have a completely fenced and secure yard. **UPDATE:ADOPTED |

NAME: Hannah BREED: Beagle GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 4 yro. WEIGHT: COLOR: Tri-Colored BIO: Hi there, my name is Hannah. I was found running in the woods in hot pursuit of a rabbit by a very loving family. They were kind enough to bring me into their home to experience immense amounts of love and care. I was very timid and hand-shy but this loving family showed me more love and trust in the short wile they took care of me than I obviously received in my former home. The vet thinks I had experienced motherhood many times and had been badly neglected. As you can tell from the pictures, I absolutely adore attention. I would make a wonderful addition to any family. I adore children and get along fantastic with other dogs. The rescue named me after one of my junior caregivers, Hannah, who went above and beyond my wildest imagination by showering me with her love and attention. She would hold me like a baby and I would fall sound asleep in her arms. Can't you tell by the pictures that I am in seventh heaven? She even put pink & blue nail polish on my nails so I would look extra pretty when rescue came to pick me up. I love to play and go for walks. As much as my caregivers would have loved to keep me, they wanted what was best for me and decided to let me find my own new forever home. I was adopted out once to an older couple. I just loved playing with their grandchildren and thier dog. I would be best suited to a home with children and another dog. I was returned to rescue for my own safety. I wanted so badly to play with the other children and dogs that I had a bad habit of climbing the fence. I figured if they couldn't come visit me, by golly I would have to go and visit them. You must have a completely fenced & secure yard. UTD on all vaccinations - heartworm negative. Not cat friendly. ** Update: |

I am very energetic and I just LOVE attention. I am currently living with three cats so depending on the situation I may be cat tolerant. I am very dog friendly, and have gotten along with a senior female Bouvier for the past five years. I am house trained and walk very well on a lead (I love going for walks). With the recent death of my owner it is necessary that I find a new loving forever home. I follow my Mom around, especially to the kitchen because I can usually talk her into giving me a treat. I am looking for a family that can give me lots of attention and walk off some of my energy. I love to play tug and will retrieve some of my favorite toys if asked or if I want to play. I hope you can find it in your heart to consider adopting me. My Mom is devastated that she has to part with me but wants me to have a family that can spend more time with me. I had been running loose for about a month and another rescue person had been trying very hard to catch me because the weather was so bad and she was afraid I might get hit by a car. This kind woman was as determined to save me as I was not to be saved. But thankfully, she finally won my trust and was able to rescue me. I was very skittish and sceptical of people and after being loved, fed and protected for a month I am finally able to accept that there is someone out there dedicated to love me. She was one of four puppies born (the pups were originally named: Eenie, Meenie, Miney & Moe) Moe passed away shortly after birth and his little sister Eenie passed away at 5 weeks of age - both due to a genetic deformity. NAME: Louie BREED: Jack Russell Terrier mix? GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Approx 10 months young WEIGHT: Approx 25# COLOR: Tri-colored, natural ears and tail BIO: Well hello there, my name is Louie. No one is sure exactly what mix I am, Ibut I am about the size and shape of a Border Collie, head color and hair/coat of a Jack Russel Terrier. I have all of the GOOD qualities of both these breeds. I do not have herding instincts such as the heel nipping or the aggressiveness of the Jack Russell Terrier. Everyone says I am a real doll!! I was found as a stray. At first I was your typical male - had to sniff everyone and everything. In just 3 weeks I have gotten so much better (of course the neutering certainly helped). I love to play with the other dogs, I am getting a lot better about coming when I am called. I sit when told, and I kennel perfectly. I shake and am evidentally housebroken because I have not had any accidents in my cage or the house. I always hold it until I am let outside. I was temporarily placed in a home with a young couple and their two yro child and was commended for never having any accidents. I got along perfectly with the young child, as a matter of fact the child would actually sit in my cage with me. Because this family lived in a condo they felt they couldn't give me the proper attention that was needed. I am the perfect size for a lap dog. I am very gentle, I want to jump lightly on you but I learn very fast when it is appropriate or not. I am sensitive to loud voices and will go hide in my cage if I think there is trouble brewing. I am very smart and will make someone an excellent family companion. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard to adopt me. **UPDATE:Louie was adopted by a very loving family in Almont, MI. He not only has a new forever family but has a new sister named Abbey to love and for companionship. |

I get along great with other dogs, but have never been around children - so I would probably be best if placed in a home with adults. I am heartworm negative, UTD on all vaccinations and not cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. **UPDATE:Max was adopted 7/14/06 by a very loving and caring woman in Ann Arbor, MI. She not only adopted Max, but also adopted Bill at the same time so they would be able to keep each other company while she was away. |

NAME: Melody BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 6 yro WEIGHT: # COLOR: Black, docked tail, cropped ears RESCUED: PERSONALITY: Melody was surrendered to us by a family in Ohio. Melody is a very laid back but a wonderful and loving girl. She is housetrained and walks well on a leash. Melody is very uncomfortable around small dogs but gets along great with larger dogs. Although she gets along with adults and older children she does prefer women to men. She does not dislike men, but it takes her a little longer to warm up to them than women. Melody travels well in a vehicle and just needs someone to return the unconditional love that she is willing to give. Melody would be best suited in a family that can give her the love and attention that she deserves. She bonds very quickly, especially with women. UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Must have a completely fenced and secure yard. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE: Melody has been made a permanent resident of Second Chance Bouvier Rescue. She has been with us so long that we feel it would not be fair to her if we tried to place her somewhere else. She is loved, well taken care of and she loves where she is at. It took her quite a while to come out of her shell when she first arrived and now she feels that she is home - and we wouldn't want to break her heart by relocating her any where else. |

NAME: Nokia BREED: Bouvier/Bearded Collie/Schnauzer mix? GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Approx 5yro WEIGHT: Approx 50# COLOR: Dark gray, natural ears and tail BIO: Well hello there, my name is Nokia. I was surrendered by my former family to a high-kill shelter in OH because they were moving and I wasn't lucky enough to get to go with them :-( I am housetrained, get along great with children, other dogs, supposedly cats and absolutely love people. A kind woman saw a picture of me on the shelter's website and it just tore her heart out. I looked just like her Bouvier mix and she couldn't sleep knowing that she couldn't take on another dog but also knowing what my fate would be if I wasn't saved immediately. She called Second Chance Bouvier Rescue and asked if there was any way possible that they could take me in and save me - which they agreed they would. Instead of going to work the next morning, Kelly drove straight to the shelter, bright and early because she wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be put to sleep. I took one look at her kind and loving face and just knew she was there to save me. I immediately greeted her with loving kisses and was so grateful that she was there to get me. Kelly saved me and even drove part way to meet the people at Second Chance to turn me over to them. I am an absolute charmer, a real heartbreaker. I mind well, I come when I am called and will not let you out of my sight. I am just so grateful to be alive and I know that there is a family out there just waiting to welcome me with open arms. I would be the answer to anyones prayers, a loving and devoted companion and would turn inside out for any outward show of affection. I am not shy and I warm up immediately to people. I am heartworm negative, UTD on all vaccinations and may be cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard to adopt me. **UPDATE:Nokia was adopted 7/25/06 by a very loving family in W Bloomfield, MI that had adopted our "first" real Bouvier, Betsy, when we started our organization. |

NAME: Pugsley BREED: Pug Mix GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 4 yro WEIGHT: 20-25# COLOR: Tan with dark markings, tightly curled tail PERSONALITY: Hello everybody, my name is Pugsley. Am I not just the cutest little thing you ever saw? I was originally found running loose in a trailer park. The woman that found me turned me over to the rescue. I was adopted out to a family that thought I was the spitting image of the dog that they had for quite a few years. I lived very happily with my new family until just recently. They decided to return me because I was just too much for them and they didn't have enough time for me. If a door was held open I would run out - they didn't train me not to - just as I didn't train them not to hold the door open when I was around. That doesn't make me a bad boy - I was just doing what is normal for a small energetic dog. I can only say that if the opportunities had not been made available to me - I wouldn't have taken them. I am very alert, housetrained and I get along great with other dogs. I am a real people pleaser and I do really miss having my own family. I get along well with children - but because of my slight stature should not go to a home with really small children. I do hope someone out there can find it in their heart and home to want to give me another chance. I promise to love and adore you in reward for a kind heart and warm arms to go around me. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. I do not get along with cats. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard. **UPDATE: Well, Pugsley started the new year off right. His new owner came to meet with him before the holiday and came today 1/2/06 to pick him up and bring him home. Pugsley recognized him and went right to him as if to say "let's get out of here Dad". Pugsley will now be resideing in Midland, MI with his new Dad. |

NAME: Ralph BREED: Bouvier mix GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 2-3 yro? WEIGHT: 90# COLOR: Black brindle, natural ears & tail RESCUED: Originally from LA County Animal Control in CA BIO: Hello everybody, my name is Ralph! When I was almost a year old I flew up to Michigan from sunny California. I know that in my picture I look brown, but I am really black (possibly sunbleached). The top picture was taken about a year ago - the bottom picture was just recently taken. I am housetrained and full of gusto. I was adopted once, but returned because I was too protective of my owner. When we were out walking I didn't let any other dog or stranger come near us. What I am desperately searching for is a very experienced dog owner that will love me enough to properly train me so that I do not have to feel that I must be in the protective mode all the time. I would probably do quite well as an "only child", so if you are an "empty nester" - I might just be what you are looking for. I am UTD on all vaccinations. Must have a completely fenced and secure yard. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE:Ralph has been made a permanent resident of Second Chance Bouvier Rescue. He has been with us so long that he thinks he is home and it would be devastateing to him if we tried to relocate him. He will spend the rest of his life on the rescue farm with the other rescues that were never adopted. |

NAME: Ruby BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 4 yro WEIGHT: 75# COLOR: Black, docked tail, natural ears RESCUED: BIO: Hi, my name is Ruby and I was surrendered by my family in Sault Ste Marie, MI because they didn't have enough time to spend with me. I tested positive for heartworm, was treated and now have a clean bill of health. I am housetrained, I get along fabulously with other dogs and absolutely love children and people in general. I am a really good girl, I just want to please. I will prove to you that just a little kindness can go a long way with me. I am UTD on all vaccinations. Not cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. **UPDATE:Ruby's dreams came true on 5/20/06. She was adopted by a very loving and compassionate gentleman in Kalamazoo that had adopted one of our rescues, Flossie, last year. Regretfully Flossie had to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge on 5/18/06. This gentleman has had many Bouviers in the past. Ruby met her new Forever Dad and new Bouv Brother Angus and it was a match made in heaven. Ruby will never be able to take Flossie's place, but will certainly help fill the void left in both their hearts with Flossie's passing. |
